Handmade in Nokia, Finland
Singular electric guitars shaped by hand, tuned by ear, and built one at a time in a small workshop in Nokia.
Disclaimer: No original body shapes were harmed in the making of all of this. Only stunt doubles were used.
Philosophy
“Every piece of wood carries a voice.
Our work is to reveal it.”
No production line. No two instruments alike. Just patient hands, resonant timber, and the belief that a guitar should feel alive before it is ever plugged in.
From the workshop
Follow each instrument from the first cut to its life beyond the workshop.
Out of the workshop
Gone, but not forgotten.
Finished instruments
Finished and set up—each one a singular build.
In the workshop
Raw timber becoming something with a pulse.
Mysterious experiments
Unusual ideas, strange details, and instruments from the edge of the workshop.
Design detail
A small part that changes how the guitar hangs on you.
Flame strap guideUnique solution
Body dive vs. neck dive
The flame on the back of the guitar is not just decoration — the strap runs through it. That changes the angle the strap pulls from, so the guitar turns toward the player instead of tilting away. The same idea works on round bodies too: with two strap buttons on the body, or with the strap running straight through the body itself.
Other versions
Built light
Light on the shoulder, long on the neck.
Reindeer Rifle27" scale · 28 frets
Easy to carry, easy to play
The guitars are built to be light, so they stay comfortable through a long night of playing. The Reindeer Rifle weighs just 3 kg without its magazine — and still has a 27-inch scale and 28 frets.
Origin
Lapland Shaman Guitars began in Nokia, Finland, with a simple idea: build distinctive instruments slowly, carefully, and by hand.
In a small workshop in Nokia, traditional hand skills and modern playability meet in every build. The name may look north, but the sawdust, tools, and guitars belong here.
Each guitar is made one at a time—from selecting the wood to the final setup. The result is not a copy of something familiar, but a personal instrument with its own weight, grain, and voice.
Lapland ShamanWorkshop tool
CNCguitarwizard is an open-source guitar design tool: set the parameters for the neck, fretboard and body, preview the toolpaths, and download CNC-ready G-code and a FreeCAD script.
Designed and coded by Jone at the Lapland Shaman workshop. Nothing to install — it runs right in your browser.
In action
Enough pictures. This is what they sound like — straight from the workshop, no studio tricks.

Not perfect — but unique, very easy to play, and roars like thunder in Lapland.
