I'm Jouni Lappi, a software developer at Hoodie Partners Oy, where I build AI-assisted ERP systems. I've written code since the Commodore VIC-20 — and these days I build with AI as a working partner, not a toy.

Projects built with AI
An open-source guitar design tool: set the parameters for the neck, fretboard and body, preview the toolpaths and download CNC-ready G-code and a FreeCAD script — all in the browser. Python running on Pyodide, written together with AI agents under a written development guide: tests, small commits and documentation first.
A portfolio of the electric guitars I build by hand in Nokia, Finland. The site was built with AI — down to the photos: an AI-assisted pipeline separates each guitar from the workshop clutter, blurs and darkens the background, and converts phone videos for the web. The guitars themselves are still made by hand.
How I work with AI
I set the goal, the architecture and the rules — in writing, so the AI works inside them. The judgment calls are mine.
Writing code and tests, refactoring, documentation, processing hundreds of photos — the work that used to eat the evenings.
I review the result in the real thing: run it, test it, look at every photo. If it isn't right, it goes back.
Small steps, frequent checks, nothing published before it's looked at. Faster than before — and no worse.
